Terms and Conditions

The language Of Terms And Conditions is somewhat legalistic and unfortunately that makes for a dull read, as well as having a bit of an unfriendly tone. Apologies ahead of time!

However Ts&Cs are important and are written down to clearly communicate the policies of Yoga Home Sligo (YHS) around payment and attendance and to Try to cover all the potential situations that might arise .

These Ts&Cs aim above all to be fair to all parties involved and provide structure and clarity within which everyone can be protected from the upsets that can arise if/when things are miscommunicated or misunderstood.

Please read with care and feel free to contact me with questions or offer feedback, which is always welcome and given due consideration.

Please see notes below for Event* Exceptional Circumstances** and Communication ***

  1. The payment for any particular event purchased applies only to classes for that particular course (as in the days and times listed in booking description).

  2. Right of attendance based on purchase of event is limited to the duration stated in booking description and therefore are subject to a particular calendar start and end time and date and do not extend or transfer to services outside this duration.

  3. Right of attendance based on purchase of event is not transferable to another person without express permission and agreement of YHS and even then is subject to all other Ts&Cs.

  4. Right of attendance based on purchase of event is not transferable to another event within the same time period without express permission and agreement of YHS. Such a transfer of attendance to another class meeting within the duration of purchased event is at the discretion of YHS and may be offered if there is room available in another event class meeting.

  5. If a participant knows prior to the beginning of the course that they will miss more than two instances of the class and they know what these instances are, this is called partial enrolment (PE). PE is only available for students who have attended at least two prior courses at YHS. There may be a discounted price for PE. This is not guaranteed and can only be discussed and agreed prior to enrolment and/or the course commencement. When in a PE, other offers (see below) of substitutions or credits do not apply.

  6. If a participant cancels at least 24 hours ahead of a class time this is called an early cancellation (EC) and if clear communication is made to YHS, it may be possible (if space allows) to attend a substitution class within the same time frame of the purchased event but on another day. YHS cannot guarantee that there will be space available in another class that same week but will sincerely endeavour to offer some suitable substitution to make up for this absence. If an EC substitution is offered the participant may accept or decline, but the offer of a spot itself constitutes the substitution and satisfies the obligations of Yoga Home Sligo.

  7. If a participant cancels after a 24 hour period prior to the scheduled class time it is called a late cancellation (LC) and it is understood and agreed that YHS is not required to offer any substitution, credit or refund to make up for this absence, unless the LC is related to an exceptional circumstance (listed below). It is the responsibility of the participant to make clear communication of the circumstances to Yoga Home Sligo in a timely manner in order to secure a substitution, credit or refund.

  8. If a participant does not attend and has made communication of any kind prior to start time of class, this called a No Show (NS). YHS has no obligations of any kind unless the NS is related to exceptional circumstances (listed below). It is the responsibility of the participant to make clear communication of the circumstances to Yoga Home Sligo in a timely manner in order to secure a substitution, credit or refund.

  9. Once the classes attached to event have commenced, refunds or credits are not available except in exceptional circumstances (listed below) In these exceptional cases, a credit towards a future course or workshop will be offered. If this is not agreeable, a offer will be made to refund for the classes that were missed. If a participant wishes to drop-out before the course is complete and there are no exceptional circumstances, this is the choice of the participant and does not require any action on the part of YHS

  10. The question of credits and refunds must be settled within 4 weeks of end date of event purchased. It is the duty of the purchaser to bring their request for credit or refund to attention of YHS prior to this deadline. After that time, no refunds, credits or transfers of any kind are available and YHS has no further obligations regarding services attached to the purchase of the event.

  11. If classes are canceled because of illness, injury or emergency on the part of the teacher, or the close family of the teacher, the participants will be offered a substitute class at a later date, or a credit towards a future course. If neither of these options is acceptable to the participant, a refund will be offered for the class that is missed.

*Event means a purchase of a course that may have multiple class meetings, or a workshop that has a single class meeting.

**Exceptional Circumstances means serious illness, serious injury or death of or in the close family of the participant.
