FREE EVENT BUT DONATIONS ARE INVITED TO SUPPORT www.havinalaugh.com
June 21st is International Yoga Day but what exactly is yoga? Why are there so many different ways of doing yoga? What do they have in common and how are they different? Does yoga belong to any one cultural tradition or is it a global inheritance? Why do some yoga studios have statues of elephants and monkeys and people with multiple arms? Do you have to sweat to do yoga? Do you have to wear lycra :) ?
Please join us at Yoga hOMe Sligo as we celebrate Yoga with a panel of local teachers who will offer not just some of the history of yoga, but also their personal stories of transformation. We're also interested in any questions you might have pertaining to the benefits, challenges and confusions of yoga.
The event is free but you are invited to practice what is called Karma Yoga but donating to a wonderful local charity created by the wonderful Blaithin Sweeney, Havin'alaugh . Blaithin will be on hand to share information about the work she does.
We'll have some live music and refreshments so please come join in this International and Local celebration of the Transformational Art (and Science) of Yoga
